Level of Difficulty:Intermediate

Tools:Leather Punch, 6mm Rivet Setter, Bench Block, Hammer, Flush Cutters or leather cutters

Designer Tip: Thread the 10mm leather through the concho slider and center.  Mark the position of a hole about ½ inch from the edge of the slider on each side.  Use the smallest setting on the leather punch (5/64 inch) to punch holes at both marks.  Center the 10mm leather over the 20mm leather.  Use a pen or sharp tool and use the first set of holes as a guide to mark the position of the holes on the 20mm leather.  Punch these holes as well.  Use 6mm rivets to attach the 10mm leather to the top of the 20mm leather.  Check the size of the bracelet using the 20mm leather.  Curve the 20mm leather around and then trim the 10mm leather about ¼ inch shorter than the 20mm leather.  Punch a hole on each end of the 10mm leather about 3/8 inch from the end.  Punch holes in the 20mm leather about 5/8 inch from the end.  Use 6mm rivets to secure the 10mm leather to the 20mm leather.  Note:  When the bracelet is flat, the 10mm leather will appear to form an “arch” above the 20mm leather – this additional length is needed because the outside diameter of the bracelet (the 10mm leather) will be longer than the inside diameter (20mm leather).  Glue the 20mm leather into the clasp, ensuring that the 10mm leather is flush with the edge of the clasp.
