Dare to Step Beyond!

Posted by Kelly on 8/22/2019 to General Information
If you are a jewelry designer, you know that your creations can be as simple or as complicatedly detailed as your imagination and experience level will allow. There is really no other limit to what you can do; and sometimes your creativity can overcome your experience level. Dare to step beyond your comfort zone.

A beginner who loves compound bracelets might not have the confidence to try making one. In this instance, he or she can get basically the same effect by creating several simple bracelets from one piece of leather or length of chain, some beads, a slider or charm and a clasp and stacking them. Voila! A trending look attained by a simple process.

This pretty little number, the Simplicity 2mm Round Leather Bracelet, pushes you to go just a little further by adding a couple end caps and some spacers and jump rings. You can do it!

As your confidence grows along with your experience, you'll want to push the envelope and graduate to projects with more details and components. Below are two examples of a few intermediate methods to make your designs more elaborate and interesting.

Our Lacy Weave Bracelet incorporates additional strands of Round Leather, a Bracelet Bar and some knotting techniques.
The Cobrizo Coil Bracelet is made with Flat Leather and Round Leather Spanish Knots.
Don't worry! Both designs have product links to video tutorials and downloadable step-by-step instructions that you can print and follow as you create.
